NCC Kids (Newborn – 6th grade)

At New Community Church, we believe in Kids. We have a dedicated team of trained workers who take great care of our kids. Our classrooms are filled with adventure, toys, and a great atmosphere to learn about the love of Jesus.

Nursery and Preschool

Birth - 5 Years NCC Kids Nursery and Preschool is designed to provide kids with a fun and loving atmosphere. Our goal is to simply help kids understand that God loves them. Through bible-based art, interactive worship and age appropriate bible lessons children will begin building a foundation for a relationship with God.

6 years - 6th Grade The Elementary Ministry is an exciting and active environment filled with games, worship, and creative bible lessons. It’s a chance for kids to be mentored by caring volunteers and connect with other kids their age. Our desire is for kids to learn that their identity is in Christ and to know that He has a plan for their life.

We at NCC strive to provide a safe environment for your children. Our team consists of committed volunteers that have gone through background screenings.

A security system has been put into place for all children from infants through fifth grade. Each week, your child will be checked in at their age specific classroom, and the parents are given a security card with a unique code for your child and a nametag is given to the child with the security code on it.

These cards are very important to creating a safe environment. Please keep your numbered cards with you during the service and have it ready to pick up your child. If a parent is needed during the service, your child’s ID number will appear on the main screens in the service.

Safety is one of our key values and to uphold that value, we will not release a child to anyone other than the person who holds the numbered tag that matches the number on the child’s nametag. This may take some time as we check numbers and collect tags. Please wait patiently outside your child’s room as we ensure that all kids are checked out safely.

First Time Guests

We’re thrilled that you are interested in visiting NCC. Come in. Get a cup of coffee. Grab your kid a doughnut. Then make your way to our information booth where one of our volunteers will walk you through the process of getting your kids registered and getting them to their assigned class. We can’t wait to see you!

If you have any questions you can feel free to email me (Stacy)

When do NCC Kids meet? Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, and 10:30 am, and during the school year Wednesday nights from 6:00-8:00pm. Why does NCC ask that children 5 and under not be taken into the Sunday morning service? We want to create the best possible environment for everyone to connect with God on their level. We believe children do this best in their age appropriate classrooms. Let's face it, kids can sometimes cause parents to be distracted as well as others around them when they get bored in a service that wasn't crafted for them. How will you notify me if my child needs me? If a parent is needed, your child’s security code will be displayed on the screens on each side of the stage in the worship center. If your child’s number appears on the screen, please return to the room that they were assigned. If you would like to see the remaining portion of the worship service, you may take your child to the Transition Room where a live video feeds into a family-friendly environment. How can I volunteer in NCC Kids Ministry? There are many possibilities as to where you can serve in the Kids Ministry. Some of these include, visitor/information center, teaching, special needs HUGS team, organization team, focus team, worship team and many more.
