Grow-Go-Sow Lesson 40

Text: John 20:24–31

Topic(s): Resurrection, Doubt

Big Idea of the Message: Jesus rose again, his physical body made alive again. Although Thomas had his doubts about the resurrection, Jesus presented him with the evidence he needed.

Application Point: Jesus’s physical resurrection foreshadows our own physical resurrection. When we struggle with doubts, we can come to Jesus with them, knowing that he will hear us and love us, rather than rejecting us for our unbelief.

Discussion Questions:
1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
2. How did Jesus respond to Thomas’s doubts?
3. How does Thomas go from having doubts to having faith?
4. What are some doubts you have about the Bible, faith, or Jesus?
5. How can we balance putting faith in Jesus with asking the questions that bother us?
