THE BIRTH OF MOSES

Topic: God’s Sovereignty, Hope, Suffering


Big Idea of the Message: Despite Pharaoh’s attempts to weaken the Israelite people, God’s plan for the Hebrews could not be thwarted. God used the conflict created by Pharaoh to bring about Israel’s freedom through Moses.


Application Point: Even though it might not always be apparent, God’s plans will be accomplished; we can try to fight his will or we can be used by God to fulfill it.

1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
2. How did God use Moses to overcome Pharaoh’s attempts to weaken the Israelite people?
3. How did God protect Moses when Pharaoh issued an order to kill all male children?
4. What can we learn from God’s protection over Moses and the people of Israel?
